Troop Yahoo Groups
There are several Yahoo groups created for scouts/adult leaders in the Troop. Their links are listed below.
Every scout/parent should join/subscribe to the T453 Main group and his patrol's group. Every parent should also join/subscribe to the T453 parent group.
To join one of these Yahoo groups, assuming that you have a Yahoo account, click 'join' link following that group. Once you have joined, you will start to receive emails from that group about meeting notices and other important activity information. In addition, it also gives you full access to online content such as Files and Photos. You can also choose where you want to receive the emails such as with Hotmail, Gmail or your work place email account.
If you do not have a Yahoo accout yet, you can choose to 'subscribe', which allows you to receive emails but you are not allowed to access the online content.
To change the email address you use for a group, e.g., bsa-t453, go to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bsa-t453/join
and add or edit your email address. Or you can unsubscribe (see immediate below) and then join again to set your new email address.
To leave or to unsubscribe from a group, send a blank email from the the mail account that you receive the group messages to
groupname-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
where 'groupname' should be replaced by the name of the group you are unsubscribing.
All emails (but not the attachments) in a group are archived so it is useful for future references. For example, future Northern Tier crews may want to read some archived messages to learn from prior years' crews.
